Before founding Parity Technologies, Dr. Gavin Wood was CTO and Co-founder of the Ethereum project, he co-designed, formalised, and implemented the Ethereum Protocol, created the Whisper Protocol, and devised the DEVp2p network protocol, the Solidity programming language and Mix IDE. Gavin received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of York. He is a lead investor in Scytale Horizon II.
